The hotel is right in the city centre, this property is on a small side street, just off the Plaza Universtitat, next to Plaza Catalunya and to the Contemporary Art Museum and steps away from the popular Ramblas and recommended restaurants, shops and tapas bars.
All rooms are traditionally furnished in Castillian style. Each is individual in decor, but with similar fittings of ornate painted headboards and coordinating chairs and chests. Some of these pieces of richly painted furniture are exceptionally handsome antiques, while others seem to be reproductions. All rooms have air conditioning, mini bar,Tv, hair dryers, safe and bathrooms are newly remodeled.
A large guest lounge and breakfast room are located on the first floor where the mood of days gone by continues. Here you find colorful antique wooden chairs with gilt trim, large wall murals, and stained-glass windows. A lighter note appears in arched windows that open off the breakfast room to a small but lovely inner garden courtyard.
The hotel has a mix of traditional and historic building with outdoors balconies. Very in tune with the interior. The lobby's walls and ceiling are paneled with a dark wood. Torch-like wall lamps evokes an almost mock-medieval look.
An excellent superior tourist hotel well up to 3* standards but officially graded as a two-star with an ideal location and offering and old world atmosphere. There's a parking garage in the building.
